You can’t actually be pretending to yourself that had high-level Democrats not been forcing him to withdraw, he would have done so on his own?  As late as just a few days ago, he was adamant that he would NOT be withdrawing and was extremely testy and rude to anyone who asked him about it. Imagine how much dignity he could have left with a year ago - or even a few months ago - had he voluntarily decided not to run again and given the DNC all the time they needed to vote on new candidates.  That would indeed have been dignified and praise-worthy.  Alas, that's not what happened.[/quote]
