Dems brought it on themselves, Biden is played like a fiddle by the far left. Too many handouts to random people like fake asylum seekers and irresponsible parents; overstepping with Covid restrictions;a ridiculous approach to trans issues, you name it. I use some of the handouts so I’ll vote dem mostly (unless it’s super local) but it’s frankly ridiculous. No normal person wants to subsidize all these people.
This!! It’s all moved to a direction where I feel like we are subsidizing so much. It’s as if no one should be responsible for taking care of themselves and their own kids anymore. Just sit back, vote Dem, and Uncle Joe will take care of it.
The problem is our broken system which is the fault of both sides. It allows people to show up at the border and ask for asylum, and we can't turn them away without due process and adjudication. Meanwhile our laws also say asylum seekers can't work. There were bipartisan proposals to start fixing that but Trump had the MAGA Republicans controlling the House shut it down. You can't just blindly blame Joe without acknowledging the bigger picture and that Republicans have a huge hand in it. And meanwhile you also can't just gesture wildly at Trump's agenda as the answer because it's just a blunt-force mass-deportation instruments that would cause tremendous labor shortages, consumer cost increases and inflation and cause damage to the economy rather than offering a more workable and needed solution like expanding worker visas. If you're mad about the whole thing then you shouldn't be voting for anyone in either party because they are BOTH at fault.
We are subsizing more than ever for all our citizens too.
