Were all these celebrities paid to attend this wedding? It feels weird that they would be close to the Kardashians, John Cena etc etc. I more understand the Clintons, Bill Gates etc as Indian weddings often include the parents’ associates, who may not know the couple at all. I read the estimate for the cost of the wedding is $156 million. 😳
These people want to be there. India is a HUGE market for them. WWE is really popular there, the Kardashians would make billions if their various clothing and makeup lines took off there. Think about it. Even just 1% would be over 10 million new customers. And on the topic of John Cena- could he not find a tailor? His outfit fit him horribly.
No, I get that’s why these people came. I’m just trying to understand why they were invited? It’s very clear many don’t know the couple or family at all. I guess it’s as simple as the Ambanis wanting everyone to talk about this big event with all these famous people. Still strange to me, since there are enough celebrities that they likely are close with, so why include basically strangers?
These weddings have to be huge affairs. I was invited to a wedding of a middle school friend I hadn’t talked to in 20 years. She was marrying an Indian guy and I guess she had to fill her side. I went (I’d never been to an Indian wedding so why not), caught up with several other middle school friends I hadn’t seen in 20 years and never saw the bride/ my old friend except from afar during the ceremony.
