Aside from the speculation of the person possibly on the committee, I was wondering about Lisa Shorts, who has been principal at Eastern MS (right by Blair) for a couple of years and seems to have a lot of energy and drive.
She hasn't even finished her second year at Eastern; seems too soon to make the jump to HS.
Veteran parents, I have a genuine question. Historically, do they hire these folks from middle schools or from the ranks of high school APs? High school seems like such a different beast compared to the other two levels that I kind of expected they would be promoting assistant principals, but I'm wondering what you've seen.
They have done both in the past. If it's a middle school principal moving up a level, they have often spent some time in a HS previously. Like the current principals of RM and Churchill had been MS principals when they were hired, but they had each served as HS APs before that.
