As a fairly liberal parent with two children going to college in Ohio, I think it's important to recognize that no state is entirely "red" or "blue." For example, Ohio passed a constitutional amendment ensuring access to abortion last year. Additionally, one of Ohio's Senators is Sherrod Brown, a progressive senator who has consistently advocated for liberal values. (By the way, his spouse, Pulitzer Prize-winning writer-author Connie Schultz, is a professor at Denison). Broad generalizations aren't helpful.
