Op Not seeing any difference with famotidine He has a new thing . If you put the bottle in his mouth when he's upset he won't suck on it. He just cries louder (which is how I learned that was possible). He's also refusing a pacifier a lot of the time. I did take a walk with him earlier and he was quiet the entire time, but now he's screaming again. I started him on gerber comfort probiotic drops this morning. He seems terribly gassy and his poop is back to black tar. Pediatrician referred us to GI but I was too tired to follow up today. I don't think he's taking in as much formula as before, period, so probably another weight check. Apologies for my disorganized thoughts. Tldr: has anyone had a baby get angry when offered a bottle or pacifier?
Yes, my colicky baby refused all pacifiers and bottles. It was awful. I only watched 5 seconds of the YouTube video posted because that is exactly what she sounded like for hours and hours. Baby eventually took liquid from a syringe, like the kind you use for medication, at the pediatrician's suggestion. We are now 15+ years beyond this, and the pediatrician still remembers that my kid was the baby who literally never once took a bottle. Transitioned to a cup very early and it was fine. I second the suggestions to use yoga balls, put the baby on top of a running dryer, and whatever helps you through this stretch, within bounds of reason and safety. I also echo the suggestions to ask for help. I am going to be an empty nester before I know it, and I would genuinely love to help someone like you by walking or rocking or bouncing the baby for a while so you could get a break.
