I am not a helicopter parent. I rarely look at the wikipage, but these are middle school kids. My kid (who is stubborn) last year decided to "get back" at a teacher she did not like. She got all As on quizzes, did all the homework, but did not follow the guidelines, so as a result was getting a bad grade in the class. I would have been upset if I did not know about this and step into correct my kids behavior. Middle school aged kids do not always make the best choices and my honor roll kid did not see that she was only hurting herself by not doing the work adequately. [/quote]
