"My single male friend in his 40s is probably at that number. It isn’t so ridiculous if your are a good looking bachelor. He’s had a few long terms monogamous relationships, but on the whole has probably been single 16ish of the last 25 years. That’s less than 10 a year for a guy who could meeting someone on tinder and have sex every day." +1 I know somebody who didn't marry till he was in his early 30s and so was single for over a decade. Married his first girlfriend after about 6 months. Before that, he intentionally was not exclusive with anyone because he knew he wasn't interested in settling down. He was faithful to his wife throughout their marriage of about 10 years. Divorced in his early 40s, which was about 10 years ago. He's very good-looking, a good dancer, and outgoing, so he never went out to a club or bar without finding someone who would go home with him for the night, although they weren't always his ideal woman. He says he turned down offers for ONSs on a regular basis because he prefers to be the one doing the asking. I asked him once how many women he'd slept with and he had no idea, so I did some quick back-of-the-envelope math and we estimated it had to be at least 100. He was out of his parent's house for at least 12 years during the prime recreational sex years of life, which is about 144 months. If he'd met and slept with a new woman every six weeks or so, he'd have hit 100 easily. He is someone who always imagined that he'd get married one day, and when he decided he wanted that, he acted on it and did it. And he stayed faithful. It isn't always that case that someone with a high body count has an intimacy problem. And those with high body counts don't all keep track of their count. Now that he's divorced in his fifties and still nice looking/fit, he could easily have sex with a new woman monthly.
