My DC applied and got into Durham and Edinburgh (also got into St Andrews and UCL). Lots of kids know about Edi and it is fairly popular in the sense that if you know about St A you also tend to know about Edi. LSE is also very well known but I think most in the US view it as a graduate school option. Durham, Bristol etc. are much less well known and I think that is because they just don't spend a lot of time courting US students. [/quote]
