Until 2017, we had always had presidents that were capable of speaking off the cuff in public in an appropriate and competent manner. Since 2017, we have had presidents that have been or should have been rigidly controlled and scripted while in public. [/quote]

Because too many Americans are careless, don't pay attention, and are easily duped into voting for the same party's candidate every election no matter how awful or weak that candidate is.
