It's also one of the only neighborhoods I've lived in DC where I knew every single one of my neighbors. The area is full of families with little kids - our kid is one of 12 born on our block while we lived there. Upshur Street also became a very lively area full of new restaurants while we lived there...there was so much good food in walking distance compared to where I live now (mainly $1M homes and strip malls, sigh). YMMV but I loved our time in Petworth. [/quote]
