I don't find GPs very useful and just go straight to specialists. I see them more as coordinating care if one needs it, and the older generation like my parents and in-laws really do love that aspect. I personally don't feel it's necessary when I have my specialists. The past two GPs I had basically had a little ipad checklist and went through it. I have many moles and have always gotten comments (without asking) by GPs about moles which are completely harmless and have been checked out by derm. They just do not know enough about specific issues to diagnose them.[/quote]
