UMD for fall 2024 has stopped the easy internal transfer to the CS school. Don’t you think students will not be much more likely to pass the CS classes? It’s now 600 direct admit freshmen and 100 total transfers to CS Department.  Last year it was 450 direct admit freshman class but unlimited transfers. [/quote]
I think this goes to show how in demand CS is at UMD.   CS at UMD has been an LEP for a while, but as PP stated, fall 2024 will restrict admissions to even more.

UMich only started restricting direct admits to CS this past year.
