Me again. On the one hand this definitely seems like a murder. But this article raises a some doubt. Mainly the hesitation wounds and also she was under the care of a psychiatrist. Plus the parents said no sign of abuse. But who would do that to themselves and how even? https://www.oxygen.com/crime-time/ellen-greenberg-philadelphia-teacher-death-still-stokes-questions-from-family
Why do I feel like this is the new wife finding a mommy site and this, to her, unfortunate thread. ;) I'm pp and suggest all the crime junkies out there to nominate this case for a podcast, so amateur sleuths can bust this wide open and create a lot of publicity. I can't believe anyone can doubt that she was murdered with these basic facts.
Haha I am the above poster and can assure you I am not married to Sam. Nor do I have any connection. But if Sam did murder her, what evidence could come out now to bring a case against him? Unless he confesses or makes incriminating statements to someone. Like wife #2. If he did murder her, I just don’t see enough, assuming of course that all the evidence is public. I’m all about a podcast though. I think there might be some podcast episodes on this which I may listen to this afternoon. One thing is for sure, the investigation was bungled. I still lean toward this being a bizarre suicide, but the police did a terrible job.
I can’t wrap my mind around how anyone could think this was suicide. She looks like she was a 100 pounds wet. How could she get through the sternum and stab herself in the heart after all the other wounds she had? Do you think her antidepressants turned her into Superman? Take a look at the butcher at your local grocery store. It takes muscle to break through bone and now imagine that it’s your own. How do you think she could physical do that? The fiancé, on other hand, looks beefy, like he could easily break her in two. I, for one, have no reasonable doubt as to what happened here. Do you also think Scott Peterson is innocent? That an evil cult kidnapped Lacey? Because that’s what you sound like.
Most certainly think Scott Peterson is guilty and almost always think the love interest is guilty. But here, they weren’t married, no baby on the way, no divorce or money issues. No evidence of abuse. Not saying he was a Prince Charming, I can’t find all that much about him or their relationship aside from her friends and family saying they had a nice relationship. The stabs to the back of the neck are extremely questionable and hard to believe she did. Which as far as I can tell is the only reason anyone thinks he did it. But that is not enough to bring murder charges against someone. And why him and not some other intruder if you’re so sure she was murdered? It seems like you have a personal stake in this case bc no reasonable person could say he murdered her beyond a reasonable doubt. I do know know and do not claim to know with any certainty what happened. But I don’t think he will face charges.
I have no personal stake in this case. I have never met any of the people involved. I have never met their friends or family. They are all strangers to me. (The more you say that I have a stake, the more I suspect that it is you who has a stake. Because whenever someone accuses me of something I am not doing, I always assume that he or she is really the one who is doing what he or she is accusing me of doing.) Simply from following this on crime blogs, I do not believe that this was a suicide. They lived on the 6th floor. Couldn’t she have just jumped off the balcony if she wanted to kill herself in a random drug induced psychosis? More importantly, I really fail to see how she could have physically done this to herself. It takes a great deal of strength to stab yourself in the chest. If it were the abdomen, then she could have done it, but her heart, hell no. Security camera footage shows that no one else besides her and her fiancé entered the apartment. Therefore, if like me, you believe that she could not have killed herself in the manner she was found, there is only one other possibility: he did it. That is why I have zero reasonable doubt. It has to be that either she killed herself or he killed her. There are no other possibilities. I do not see how she could have had the strength to do what was done to her, especially with her non-dominant hand. The knife was in her non-dominant right hand and a clean, non-blood stained white towel was in her dominant left hand. It sounds like someone was trying to clean up fast….
You are certainly entitled to your opinion :)
