We had an excellent, involved, independent school board member replaced by a lady endorsed by the Republican party.  Unlike our former representative, she’s made little to no effort to involve herself in the schools in her district and actually get to know them.  I haven’t seen her at a single event.  Communication with her constituents appears to me to be very poor.  Such a huge step down in my book.

Yes, exactly.  He was fantastic, so involved in the community, and excellent at providing information.  Very transparent.  Unfortunately, he went unendorsed by both Republicans and Democrats, who ran their own candidates.  And people blindly voted, as per usual.[/quote]

DP here. My district is the opposite - we vote blindly Dem. I am a (centrist) Dem but the school board Dems are super lefty and I don’t agree with them much at all. I am going to split ticket this year - county R, statewide D. [/quote]
