And MacKenzie was a train wreck: alcoholic, addict, mental health issues, etc.

She had ruined her career, burned bridges, and was likely desperate for money to support her addiction.

But sometimes people are just addicts (genetic predisposition is real, and growing up in Hollywood in the 70s certainly doesn’t help) and they concoct stories people will pay for when they need money…easy to do when the other person is dead. [/quote]
