I hear what you're saying but the grass is always greener...socialized healthcare and insuring the masses comes with a price. Where do you skimp? It has to come from somewhere right? 3 choices: 1) less people insured 2) decrease in reimbursements to docs 3) higher premiums I know its a hard pill for people to swallow but average incomes for the docs and healthcare systems are essentially constant for decades but we are servicing more people. Its getting to the breaking point from the docs perspective because the cost of living, cost of dong business and everything else has increased but incomes are flat. This leads to decrease in quality of care. I am in healthcare and I see whats happening. Please just agree something has to give. You cant change the equation and add in more variables and expect the same outcome.
What I think needs to give are the extraordinary profits being made by executives and Sharpe's in certain corporations, coupled with the ridiculous tax cuts for the uber-wealthy by Trump. What is like to get in return is a functioning health care system that provides at least basic care for all citizens. I've worked as a physician in more than one country, and this can be done. Not if it isn't funded properly, and that means stopping governmentally facilitating the hoarding disorder shown in some citizens' bank accounts.
