Is that valid for small LACs too?  I am asking because I have a good friend who's kid is being actively recruited by a D1 rural LAC in NY on a Track scholarship.  The kid is looking for a Chem or Physics major right now.

If you're talking about Colgate, we were told that they are one of the high academic D1s that have a general policy about starting practices after 4:00 pm or ending them before 8 am or something like that, to avoid class conflicts because those are periods when no classes are supposed to be scheduled (a few evening seminars might be after practices end).  I assume that doesn't mean there couldn't be a conflict in a particular instance and travel to games would still be disruptive for the class, but it least reduces the daily conflicts. [/quote]
