Cavalier statements like this aren’t going to age well. In the western states, where fires are more common, schools and sports organizations have policies about rescheduling recess, games, and practices at certain AQI thresholds. I used to live in Hong Kong 20 years ago, same story.

If/when fires start to affect the east coast more, expect your k-12 schools, youth sports organizations, and universities to follow suit.

Fine. Yes, that’s the natural order of things. The “gig serfs”, as you call them, should’ve applied themselves and done better in school. Then they could’ve made something of themselves beyond carrying food to more successful people. Too bad so sad. It’s on them.

The problem is so many people like you take a simpleton’s view of it and place the blame on anyone but those people themselves. That mentality is exactly how trump got elected. He told millions of stupid people they weren’t to blame for their problems, and those morons believed it and voted accordingly. And you’re basically saying the same thing trump said.
