I haven't read about him saying that to Hillary, and it doesn't sound like the Uncle Joe we know. But he probably would have beaten Trump in 2016.

It's a lot of us who are shocked and appalled about how the party that previously only demanded we all believe in flat earths and creationism and taking away women's rights and healthcare for as many people as possibly, could have become even more stupid and cruel. We've seen how bad it can get. Stop the bleeding, then you can work on everything else.[/quote]

The uncle Joe bit was a facade and a thin one at that.  He isn’t particularly nice to the press and has a history of being kind of an elitist jerk.  He went to an elite high school.  He has definitely enriched himself and his entire family by currying favor with unsavory people like the Chinese.  And so yes, I 100% believe he was a total jerk to Hillary.  He is a jerk with an Aw shucks facade that is a total load of bs.[/quote]

Look what do I know, but that really doesn't seem to be how most people perceive him - those who know him personally, those who've met him, those who (like me) only see his public image and form an opinion based on that. I don't doubt he is a confident guy - I don't know anyone in politics who doesn't feel pretty good about themselves, even if buried under a deep layer of self-loathing - but I can't see him being cruel in that way to Hillary.

Anyway, I don't care what he said. I think he's doing a good job as president. I'm almost 50 and I think he is the best president of my lifetime. I don't love that he's going into this at age 80 - but my concern about his age is abstract; what I see is him doing a good job. And I also don't see someone else I wish were doing it instead. I see Dems I hope are getting ready - but I don't see any who I think should swoop in today. And you couldn't pay me to vote for a Republican, at this stage of things. Esp not the ones who are eyeing the prize here. They are a disgusting bunch of boils.

Give me Dark Brandon, and please, please let me pay attention to things other than politics.
