Bullis parent here.  No, it’s not the new Sidwell and we should hope that they never strive to be that.  We are there because of the diversity of the student body and the diversity among the different types of learners.  Our school is able to accommodate all types of students and there is a major need for that. I am  actually concerned with what is happening now under the new head and [b]what’s going on in the lower school.[/b]  I’m feeling like they are more concerned with keeping up with the Big 3 than focusing on what a special place it has been and bringing more attention to that.  We will be staying there for now, but if they start trying to completely change the school, we are out.  I know a big donor family that feels the same, but unfortunately they have more high donor families concerned with the prestige and I don’t think them leaving would make much of a difference.

We are not Sidwell and we should focus on how amazing it is, as it is.  Nobody likes a follower.  Those that March to their own beat win in the end.[/quote]
