I am new to this since my kids are still in elementary school. bullies has a class of 600+ students in 2023? I am confused
They reported acceptances, not matriculations. Kids were admitted to more than one school.
This can be misleading because one exceptional kid can account for the acceptances at several top schools.
Exactly! I’m sure that’s what happened at Bullis this year. The total number of Ivy acceptances are probably from no more than 6 or 7 students.
There 7 ivies on the early decision list alone. None of those kids could also be on the regular admissions list, and a bunch of the ivies have multiple admissions on the regular list. There are 4 at Penn alone. So you are obviously wrong.
Let’s end this once and for all. Among the 7 ED Ivy admits, 3 overlap with the Division 1 recruited athletes (Princeton and UPenn). So, 7-3= 4. There are 11 Ivy RD admits that don’t overlap with ED or recruited athletes. Many/most of the RD admits are a handful of the same students. I’ll be generous and say that 4 students earned the 11 RD acceptances. That’s 4 unique ED acceptances, 3 combo ED/athlete, and 4 RD acceptances. So, out of ~140 graduating Bullis seniors, 11 different students were admitted to Ivies. By contrast, out of ~125 graduating Sidwell seniors, 13 have already posted their Ivy destinations. There are more Sidwell seniors who will attend Ivies in the fall. So, is Bullis the new Sidwell? No, and they never will be because the school will always lack Sidwell’s history, reputation, and results. But perhaps they’re the new…Maret. Oh my god, GIVE IT UP! Please end this stupid thread. Sidwell is Sidwell and Bullis is Bullis.
