I would be shocked if there are a lot of first gen kids getting into Dalton considering the parental involvement required even if there is full FA. Just that parents who aren’t familiar with such application processes wouldn’t have the exposure to apply to private schools. How many kids is A Better Chance or Prep For Prep getting into these privates?[/quote]

Actually quite a lot. My child attends a NYC private school and in 7th grade (which was NOT a typical entry year), there were 5 Prep for Prep kids who joined. At least one is now headed to an Ivy.[/quote]

7th is an entry year for Prep for Prep. DK why it is not 6. At our DCs' school, there were some kids who came in 6th. [/quote]
