For me, less attractive, but I don’t ascribe any universal value to that.

My DC desperately wants one - they are normalized on social media. I am strongly encouraging waiting until adulthood to see if the desire is still there.

Friends tell me that in many parts of US many young and middle aged people have extensive tattoos and no one bats an eyelid. Highly educated people with good jobs have them. DMV seems to be a lot more conservative about appearances in general though.

If tattoos: do not hurt peoples’ personal and job prospects, is done by licensed tattoo clinics in ways that won’t cause health problems, and does not contain gang affiliation / white nationalist/ hate mongering messages then it is just a personal choice. These days a lot of them are innocuous designs.

A hard no for me personally though.
