The progressives in DC and NYC spent the past two years pushing for bike lanes. All while Rome burned.  If the ANCs used half the time they spent on bikes instead on schools and crime this would be a world class city. Instead it’s been two years of bike lanes and weed dispensaries. The Ds will now suffer generational losses at the polls.

Their progressive ideas are absolutely THE cause of the red wave.  They brag about the 60 meetings they’ve had on bike lanes, but have had Like one meeting on crime and zero meetings on school quality.  Completely clueless about what the majority of their constituents care about.  [/quote]

So the ANC host MPD at most, if not all of their meetings. What, exactly, would you like an ANC commissioner or a commission to do about crime?

They cannot author legislation. They have no executive power, they host MPD to inform the community of the latest crime numbers and enforcement actions.

Someone please tell the Mayor that the ANCs have no role in law enforcement.  Bike lanes and marijuana dispensaries only.  If there’s time left, they will consider building permits.
