This is in no way related, just some gross generalization my mom likes surmise, that friends of ours who had children in high school are closer to their parents/grandparents and that we would have been closer as a family if we did not go away to college and move to DC. My mom is from a huge family and her siblings mainly have adult children locally who had children at a young age. For DC standards, parents are young (had me in law school, siblings in mid to late 20s) whereas DH and I had our children in late 30s/early 40s[/quote]
