DH's parents were snowbirds there for a few decades. DH occasionally talks about it, but still some years, if not a decade, away.

My hesitation is how DeSantis handled COVID and concerns that other GOPers may handle public health crises in a similar fashion. I am no longer sure I can put money into a state where elected officials eschew science.

I am the person who said I would snowbird in Florida despite DeSantis. I have a fear of flying. So no to PR, VI or Europe. It's super easy and not outrageously expensive to drive down to Florida, spend 3-4 months there in a condo, and drive back home in the spring.[/quote]
