While I understand why others would like it, I find super-developed bodybuilder musculature a turnoff. Just...has the opposite effect on me that it seems to have on other women. Not going to diss the look since it clearly is sexy to some women, and I do like a guy who looks fit and healthy, but the hyper-defined six-packs in particular--just, nope. Someone out there tell me I'm not alone.
You're not alone. I see the appeal of both but prefer a fit, natural look.
I don't like the overly beefed-up look either. However, the rest of the men here look like women, this thread is full of extremes. Honestly, I am surprised at the choices, I usually like at least some ideas. joe alvyn has zero appeal to me. he is totally bland and forgettable.
The bold nails the issue. Lots of he-men or boys. I'm the one who initially posted about being turned off by the over-developed-six-pack musculature, and I also agree that the reedy boy look doesn't work for me either. But it's all so very personal and individual, what we do or don't perceive as attractive. The key is in the thread title -- OP set the bar at "based on their looks" and for a lot of us, our perception of sexiness is influenced by looks, sure, but also by what we think we see in terms of personality, magnetism, talent, etc. That's even more subjective than looks. But a chiseled dude, or a smooth pretty boy, is just boringly generic to me without knowing anything else about them, yet an Oscar Isaac or Idris Elba, where I have some (self-created, I admit) perception of their personalities and talents, that gets my attention infinitely more.
