YOU CAN DO IT! Stay strong and come out on the other side! I am coming off a tedious two weeks of gaining and losing the same two pounds over and over. Am finally at my lowest weight in several years and ready to keep going lower. I have another 12 pounds to lose and hope to get there by February maybe. Just had/have to trust that if I kept going and didn't give in the pounds would keep coming off and I will eventually get there.
I love these encouraging posts. I’m the exhausted PP from yesterday and I’m SO proud I didn’t emotionally eat. Today I have the same stress but I actually got some sleep so hopefully I can do it again!
Did you make it? I hope you did! It can be so hard to stick it out but I know you can do it! I'm feeling a lot of stress this week from home and family. I am in awe of the person who is eating 5 ginger snaps and 5 candies and still losing -- that's definitely not where I am right now. At this point I feel like I'm 85% willpower, 12% anxiety, and 3% coffee, heh. Good luck everybody, I hope you see the results you are looking for!
I did, I think. I ate a few chips but definitely out of hunger and not emotion. I am not good at being hungry so I don’t usually have calories for cookies or candy at all. Maybe if I find more time to exercise but that was not really in the card today, though I squeezed in what I could. How did you manage with your stress today? I am working on finding non food ways to deal with stress and a little time outside with my kids really helped. This is a really beautiful fall.
Yay, you!!! It was so smart to go outside with your kids yesterday -- everybody gets some sunshine and to enjoy the leaves and smells etc. It is flat out beautiful outside these days! Sometimes at work when I'm stressed (like yesterday) I walk determinedly around the city for about 20 minutes and just the time in the sunshine is helpful for my stress. It feels like I am doing something for me and I need it and I like it. I've been less successful at doing that when I work from home, hmmm. I agree that it's important to find destressors that aren't related to food, I wonder if other people have ideas on these? My biggest downfalls are Fridays when I "cheat" and have a hamburger and chips, and often go overboard on the chips. I mean, they are delicious! I want to keep my cheat days because I feel like they help keep my metabolism in check in comparison to normal days for me when I eat less. But I need to be careful not to cheat too much heh! I'm still losing, and am down to my lowest weight in years today (lost 89 pounds now), so it's working, but as I get closer to my goal, things are going a little slower. Keep going, everyone! Any other destressor suggestions?
