When yall say provide enrichment wtf does that mean Like yall are being a pain in the ass to the school district teaching them stuff that hasn't been covered in class yet and then of course they are going to be bored People on DCUM are insufferable Here's my point no one cares when you take Algebra or how many APs you took in high school Pay attention to this. Getting ahead in America is about relationships not checking boxes. Emotional intelligence trumps IQ intelligence.
You're getting cause and effect mixed up. Many kids are quite bored with school well before their parents do any enrichment activities. The bar is very low, and everything moves at an absurdly slow pace. Parents seek enrichment because they want their kids to at least be learning something somewhere, and they for whatever reason don't feel that private school is the answer. The best solution is for school to be much more rigorous and to challenge all students at their level, but that's not going to happen in the current equity minded system. The next best solution is for parents to ensure that their own kids are at least learning and developing.
