Process server usually decides how to serve papers--though it's more likely a lawyer will give instructions than it is that a client will. Celebrities can be hard to serve. They move around a lot. They have bodyguards. They live in gated communities or buildings with doormen and elevators with fob keys that stop you from even getting to the floor where their apartment is located unless you have the key. So, they are often served at public events because the process server knows where and when they will be somewhere and can get up close. It's unlikely that JS knew how she would be served before she was served. [/quote]
