Congrats to your daughter! Your approach is sound, spoken as another parent 😊. 
Also, I think Hamilton is a great college and for whatever it is worth, my kid is contemplating trying for Hamilton, where he could not play his sport, over Colby and Bates, where he has some coach support for his apps.  [/quote]
