You are OK with people who haven't eaten for two days (or longer) being received and processed by Texas, but not by DC? 3,400 is a drop in the pan compared to what Texas handles on a daily basis. Why don't you get on out there and set up sandwiches and soup reception, like the Poles did for the Ukrainians?[/quote]

What are you talking about---I'm talking about Abbott playing chess with people's lives. It's a stunt on his part. That's what is despicable. DC needs to be a state so that the rest of the country realizes real people live here. I'm completely fine with DC taking them in, but I find it troubling that they're immediately shipped off on a days long journey when some of them may need medical attention and could rest. [/quote]
