Very patriotic. Lots of people - kids, grandkids, pets. Our neighborhood honored our vets as they always do - they paraded at the front of the parade. Impressive fireworks display later tonight - as always. Our neighborhood represents people from nearly every state... very few born and raised in the area. But we all have one thing in common - proud to be American.
+1 same for our neighborhood!
+2 Lots of celebrating and fun.
So you are celebrating people getting shot?
Typical right wing denial. "Didn't happen to me so who cares."
Every day, there are tragedies. Banality of evil and all that. But, only the mentally ill cancel all their plans to sit in mourning over daily shootings that dont involve them. A normal and healthy behavior is to continue on with your celebrations. Im wishing you peace, comfort, and a good therapist.
+100
You are a f**king sociopath if you think that a person mourning the senseless death of another is “mentally ill”. Seriously, I am so sorry for the monsters you call children that you are raising.
Whoa. Pls bring this response of yours to your next therapy session.
Seriously. And no doubt she, and the other sanctimonious shamers, thoroughly enjoyed the Capitol Fourth last night. Such hypocritical prigs.
I repeat, you’re sociopaths in your callous indifference for human life. This doesn’t have anything to do w fireworks
You (or a previous poster with a similar theme) was harrassing other posters by saying that if they celebrated the 4th, they were celebrating the shooting. That is clearly inaccurate. July 4 celebrations did not suddenly become murder parties because a murder took place. A few posters suggested its best to go about your business and unhealthy to cancel all your holiday plans because of a mass shooting that didnt involve you. You decided they were capitol riotors and monsters, etc. Look. This was the 300+ mass shooting this year. And in Chicago, dozens of people die from violence every. Single. Weekend. Why are you on here harrassing the people who continue to seek and spread joy in life. Your insistance on attacking people for merely enjoying their lives is, sorry to say, the same energy as the shooters. Are you actually about that, or do you just need a couple days to collect your thoughts?
+ a million And, as was pointed out earlier, no doubt the ridiculous shamers were enjoying the Capitol Fourth and oohing and ahhing over the fireworks, musical lineups, etc. Notice that celebration was NOT cancelled.
Crickets… I guess it’s ok for Biden and the “celebrity lineup” to continue the celebration, but utterly shameful for ordinary citizens to attend (and enjoy) their neighborhood parades. What a bunch of hypocrites these holier-than-thou, sanctimonious shamers are.
