I think most teams and this includes MD teams will play to show more than to win for the 2023 class but not as much for the other age groups. For the 2023 class wins are simply just not as important to players that just finished HS season and have already committed to a D1 program. For those that say "back in my time" you need to consider that the current version of club sports and the 30 game summer seasons did not exist back then. For the 2023 class this summer is a chance to get the players that have not committed yet some looks so yes another player should be happy to give up some minutes for this. However, for 2024 and younger, playing the best players in tough games and making the finals may equate to more exposure. For even younger teams, wining should always be a goal. Kids do care about wins as it is why they play.[/quote]
