Progressives hate Christians; they think shootings in Chicago and Baltimore are just fine.
Progressives hate Christians who push lies and racist tropes. They love gun control though.
They profess to hate guns (they don’t) but they do love control. It’s clear we need to address two things at once: addressing anger issues / mental illness that leads people to becoming perpetrators AND getting those guns out of the hands of people who use them in these and other crimes. In this or another thread someone suggested requiring owners to carry insurance akin to car insurance may be worth considering. Also maybe some sort of licensing, perhaps varying by type of weapon? Re: the weapons themselves — the rifles look bigger and scarier, but there are handguns that can pop off many rounds quickly and do as much damage in a relatively close range like in the confines of a school. Many weapons (guns) are already outlawed. It comes down to definitions of what is or isn’t a ___ weapon.
