I vote for whoever is least scary and not trying to drastically change the way we live, think, raise our kids. Both choices are pretty awful, to be honest, if we go down partisan lines. But everyone votes for what matters to them personally at the end of the day. Asking people to abstain regardless how they vote is just messed up. Gross hypocrisy.
So it's OK if someone else's kids die because of your vote. What happens if it's your child someday? It can't be, right? Your family is exceptional and immune to any impact from guns in society. You honestly believe that it's "equally awful" that someone is trying to "drastically change the way we live, think, and raise our kids." What exactly do you mean by that? Your child might hear that gay people can be honest, hardworking, good members of society? Or is that they may have to wear a mask to prevent the spread of disease? What issues overrule death by gun in your mind?
