Name a staff member who puts students first. I challenge someone to provide a concrete example.
"puts students first" in a list of what, exactly? Everything? LOL.
I guess ask Dr. McKnight. It’s her slogan. However, as a parent of a student with a disability, every IEP meeting this year has failed to put his needs first. He needed support in a class but was denied because the school doesn’t support the class with support staff. My child qualified for compensatory services. We have been waiting five months for services to begin. My child has been bullied which interferes with his engagement at school and desirability to attend school. School staff did nothing to stop the bullying or even apply restorative justice practices. My child has gaps in learning from online learning but his teachers are not helping to fill in the gaps so his track of progression has stalled. Dr. McKnight has had the putting students first as a slogan since July. My question how have MCPS staff been trained to put the slogan into practice?
