DP.  Garza wasn't universally respected, and she was positively disliked by many members of the Board of Supervisors because of her willingness to resort to campaigns like #SaveFCPS to get more money.  And she probably hadn't ever learned where even 1/2 the schools in FCPS were actually located by the time she left.

But I don't think she ever pandered to School Board members the way that Brabrand did.  Which is sad, because it got him nothing.  Whenever he pivoted to try and keep them happy, they still found a way to second-guess him and harass him in public.

They need someone with the confidence of a Garza or a Domenech, but who can also quickly demonstrate that they understand the challenges of a large school district.  Brabrand came from FCPS so he knew where the schools are located and what challenges different schools faced, but he did very, very  little to actually address those challenges.  On most fronts, he leaves FCPS in worse shape than when he arrived.  [/quote]
