Knocking herself out with homemade ether because of bad dreams? This doesn't make sense for Claire. And it doesn't add to the story unless they are trying to give the couple a side plot on how her secret impacts their marriage? Maybe she will have a near death experience? It's dumb. If the plot is moving towards the war, then perhaps stay focused on that? It would be interesting for Roger the history professor to perhaps provide useful intel that steers things in the right direction. [/quote]
