DP. They’re telling YOU that you have nothing concrete to say. Elite level Russian disinformation tactic is to blame your opponent of that which you are guilty. When you cry that only occupying 54% of seats in a class instead of 75% is racist, you are confirming that YOU are the person who has racist feelings. But it makes you feel better to say “nuh uh, YOU are!” or “I know you are but what am I?” It’s what five-year olds do when they have no other recourse and it’s pathetic. The fact that a federal judge saw fit to agree with you clowns and parrot your talking points is a scathing indictment of the American Justice system.
Exactly. It’s like trying to have a conversation with a cranky 5 year old.
I don't believe the fight is about percentages, but if the right percentage is getting into TJ or not. The problem is with all the quotas and any other factors that are designed specifically undermine the kids from academic oriented families or attending AAP center schools and/or chose to live (buy/rent) in neighborhoods for better rated schools. These factors aren't exclusive to asian americans though they are affected affected, but its intent of the fcps board is pretty clear from the start and agreed by the judge as well. If the admissions are purely based on merit and not biased against any specific group of kids especially race (ex: selection criteria is limited to what kids learn/perform in school only at no additional expense) and if the fcps is very transparent/upfront about the whole selection process, then no one will actually mind or question even if it results in lesser percent of asians or any other group. Quotas and/or free points go against merit/talent as it leads to segregation and infighting and which is the major reason for many parents being upset about the new admission process.
