NP to this thread. The Soros foundation poured millions upon millions into the DA election of an extreme “social justice” DA, who then FIRED more than 30 career Philadelphia prosecutors (most of them were democrats). These facts are well documented. Many predicted the radical new, lenient on crime policies would result in more crime. To no ones’ surprise, crime is skyrocketing.
Crime is skyrocketing everywhere, even in Republican-run cities in red states. What are your thoughts on that?
Driving factors nationally include: - the demoralization of police. I am from Baltimore. Police - a mixed race group of 6 officers - were prosecuted by their own city/mayor. All 6 were exonerated, and they successfully sued Baltimore city. Meanwhile the mayor stated she was giving BLM rioters “space to destroy”, and the rioters demanded “hands-off policing” (apparently with the mayors backing. Why would any Baltimore police officer go out of their way to arrest criminals after that?? Baltimore bungled look it so bad that the Republican governor has had to send Maryland’s state police in to help clean up the mess BLM started. The demoralization of police has had an effect nation-wide, even in red cities. But other factors include the “real” economy damaged by Covid. The Dow might be in the green, but people at the lowest levels lost jobs, and many of those are not comming g back. Gangs are another huge factor. In 2008, the DOJ estimated 80% of crime is linked to organized gangs. Gangs have gotten worse under covid. And fueling gangs is: Illegal immigration over our southern border. Biden seems to encourage it (probably for future votes). Finally, Chinese fentanyl. It’s pouring into the US. But I know you are a dem. So I will create an S/O thread about 2 dem leaders who have the answers to our crime problems (but do they have the courage to save lives?). Standby.
