A person born in the 20’s had far more life expectancy and future increased standard of living than any of their predecessors could have ever imagined. Our future will not be that much more improved.
That's a nice sleight of hand - comparing the person born in the 1920s to their predecessors rather than to us, today. Or people in the 1990s. It's absolutely clear that people born in the 1990s have a far better life expectancy and standard of living than someone born in the 1920s. Also, you ignored the rampant discrimination cited above. We still have problems, but things are much better for people who aren't straight, heterosexual, Christian white men today than they were in the 1920s. Life expectancy 1921: 60 (male) / 61.8 (female) Life expectancy 1991: 72 (male) / 78.9 (female)
