Biden should have never, ever jammed through the last round of stimulus in order to buy the GA elections. For what? 2 years of barely having control during which the Dems have gotten almost nothing done? It will cost them interest rate hikes that are going to cause the economy to go into a recession during 2022-2024 during mid-terms and the next Presidential elections. What a colossal mistake by the Democrats handing out more money because they listened to idiots like AOC and her gang who were screaming at the top of their lungs for govt injected money. Complete misfire that's gong to bring a world of hurt to the Democrats.
They absolutely will not raise rates more than from zero to 1 percent. They will surrender to inflation and hope the dollar doesn’t collapse into hyper inflation. Raising rates at this point will collapse the economy and bankrupt the government. It’s easier to just let inflation ravage the country and point fingers in all directions for the blame.
Many are already expecting 3 rounds of raises in 2022. Possibly more and faster. That's what we are waiting on today. But nonetheless, they're coming.
Yes .25 percent. Each time not even adding up to one percent. Then they will drop them in reaction to negative economic effects. It’s all a head fake at this point. The Fed is in the roach motel. It was easy to get in but you literally can’t get out. To stop printing money and raise rates in any substantial amount will literally kick the only leg the economy is standing on right out. The government can’t afford interest payments on its 30 trillion debt to go up at the same some the economy gets decimated.
