They absolutely will not raise rates more than from zero to 1 percent. They will surrender to inflation and hope the dollar doesn’t collapse into hyper inflation. Raising rates at this point will collapse the economy and bankrupt the government. It’s easier to just let inflation ravage the country and point fingers in all directions for the blame.
