Private schools get their own private vaccine clinics while a school as large as Janney can't get enough for its students!!! SMH!
The clinic at Janney isn't supposed to be just for its students -- it's open to anyone in the city, same as the other public clinics are. I don't think anyone needs to feel sorry for the poor underserved Janney students.
How many Janney parents do you know that would wait 2 weeks after the shots were approved to get their kids vaxxed? Mine were vaxxed last weekend.
Agreed. We are at a different W3 elementary and I would say just based on casual reporting from my kid that at least 50% of her class has already had shot #1. Our school has not yet had a pop up.
Same here. A substantial percentage of kids in my daughter's grade are already vaccinated and the clinic at the school is tomorrow. They mostly went to clinics at other schools; a few got vaccinated at pharmacies. BTW, I think the school clinics are a great idea. The kids being able to play on the playground while waiting is fantastic. And I heard that some of the very first clinics were a bit of a mess, but our experience was pretty good. They gave you a number when you got in line, so you knew as soon as you arrived whether they had a shot for you or not. The HSA had free food available. My kid played right up until it was time to get the shot.
