My issue is that the fabric and construction look cheap. Well, I also don't care for that particular bow pattern, but I could see a similar adornment looking good...so I'm willing to allow that is just a matter of preference. Also the shade of pink is a little too bubbly gummy for my taste, but online photos and skin tone make it hard to know for sure. But the puckering seams just don't give me confidence that this will fall well.
THIS THIS ALL OF THIS Thank you, PP, for articulating this. I had an initially negative reaction, but I like quirky looks, I love retro/vintage, I wear lots of fashion-forward or OTT clothes. And there's a real Twiggy sort of vibe to this on first blush. So I was being open... But I couldn't shake the feeling it was simply Wrong for reasons not to do with the color or style per se. It's mostly the fabric IMO (plus perhaps the exact shade of pink). They didn't even iron or steam it? I mean, watch the model walking in the video! Though I don't think that's the only reason it looks cheap. As a design, as a schematic, as a drawing, I'd be completely fine with this, though I wouldn't personally wear it (I'm built like Christina Hendricks). But this fabric is... insulting.
