Sometimes those both live in the same space. Ladies who want to use their love to save or fix are drawn to this. Honestly I kind of get it a little, fortunately I lucked out with a stable partner but I know myself and I know I had a soft spot for guys who were charismatic, charming and just a little bit closed/troubled/etc. [/quote]

I get this too. The deep, brilliant soul with incredible highs and rock bottom lows (plus looking like Ben Affleck did in his prime). Jennifer garner once described it perfectly in an article- she said something like that when things were good with Ben, it’s like the sun is shining on you with all its warmth, but the other side of it is this iciness and loneliness. It’s very easy to get drawn in by the good qualities people like these have to offer, at their best, and want to be there to support them through the worst. [/quote]

He's a celebrity, not an actor. The fact that he's an addict doesn't make him deep. 
Good Will Hunting is seen as a cinematic masterpiece by the same kinds of people who think The Help is literature.

This is a silly take. The Kardashians are just celebrities. He co-wrote Good Will Hunting, adapted Gone Baby Gone and the Town, directed and co-produced Argo, and acted in a bunch of stuff, most recently The Way Back (for which he got great reviews). He doesn't have to be your favorite actor of all time, but to say he's a celebrity rather than an actor or that he's basic, is a pretty silly thing to say about a guy with multiple Oscars and a bunch of other awards.[/quote]
