ITS continues it have solid middle school performances. This year, the first year to have 40+ in graduating 8th graders, I’ve heard they had double digits in elite privates (Maret, SJC, Gonzaga, Sidwell), double digits at SWW/Banneker/McKinley. I’ve heard nothing but great things about the new head of school.
Hello ITS administrator. Do you have anything to say about the utter lack of math differentiation? Ooh, elite privates, what a wonderful solution for all of us. ITS equities so hard! Is it you who drives the Tesla in the dropoff line?
Huh? I’m just a parent of a 7th grader that is impressed and proud of our graduates (most of whom I’ve know since they were 4 year old and have seen them grown into great kids). Why are you such a mean person?
Parent of current ITS 8th grader. I don't think it's correct that there are double digits going to elite privates. Maybe two or three kids. But yeah, will almost definitely be double digits at SWW, Banneker, and Ellington--possibly high double digits, once the Walls waitlist moves. (Not sure about McKinley. None of DC's friends applied there.)
I think I meant double digits admitted to privates. I know do at least 8 admits so assume there were a few more.
Is getting into a non-elite private an indication of quality, though? Or does it mean you didn't get into a selective DC high school.
Idk. The kids I know got admitted to Walls, GDS, Maret, Damatha. So I guess all around.
