DC was hard to find a hot, attractive successful (potentially) successful man back in the 90s. The good thing was that the pool of women that also had those characteristics was tiny too so without internet/online dating you could find each other out at the bars, work, gym. I think more pretty smart, career women have influxed the area where the pool of men has remained small. More competition for fewer men. And women are older so lose out to younger ones.[/quote]
